This unit plan is designed to introduce the students to Cherokee
Culture and History. The instruction will be through literature,
both fiction and non-fiction. The instruction will be utilizing information
collected from the US Library of Congress as well as information gleaned
from other Internet and paper sources. The unit will integrate specific
technology and academic competencies from the NC Standard Course of Study.
This unit will be directed toward fifth grade students.
