Mentoring Activities

Our school is offering mini lessons in technology every Tuesday to the teachers in the Elementary School and the High School.  During two of these meetings, I will be instructing the teachers in the uses and collections of the Library of Congress web site.  All of our classrooms are Internet ready, therefore the information that the teachers learn in these lessons will be used in the classroom with students.
Several of our teachers are not very computer literate.  They are unsure of how to use the Internet ot locate web sources.  I will be helping to teach a web basics class, as well as, to teach the teachers to use the web page design program to create web pages to be linked to our school's web site.
The number of teachers immediately involved in the classes will depend upon the number who voluntarily sign up.  We generally have a fair number of participants.  The class will be offered in the Fall and the Spring semesters for this year and next year.
