Mission
The mission of the Cherokee Central School System of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, with an awareness of our cultural uniguness, is to educate students to be productive and responsible citizens in an ever changing world by committing our energies, resources, and cultural knowledge to provide meaningful and comprehensive programs.
Objectives

To involve 100% of each graduating class in post secondary education or in their chosen vocation.

To reduce the dropout rate to "0".

To have 100% of our students achieving at expected achievement levels.

100% of students entering 7th grade at Cherokee Middle School will graduate from Cherokee High School.

Statement of Beliefs

WE BELIEVE:

The family has a responsibility in all areas of a student's educational development.

As an individual, each person learns differently and at her/his on pace.

All individuals can become productive and responsible citizens.

All individuals are entitled to a safe and supportive learning environment.

All individuals have the right to develop to their fullest potential.

In the importance of the cultrual heritage of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians.

High expectations increase achievement.

In adapting to an ever changing world based on identified needs.

Communtiy involvement is essential for total student development.

Education is a financial priority.

Teamwork is essential for the overall success of the school system
