Description: In this lesson, students will be divided into small groups and provided with a packet containing primary source clues related to women’s roles in the US since the mid 1800’s and how historical events have helped shape the rights of women today. Students will examine their packets to determine how political, economic, and social issues have impacted women’s roles in their society. They will specifically examine the Women’s Suffrage movement, first female pilots, World War I and World War II.
